Good preparation is most of the finish. This flexible Harris block keys weathered timber before you apply a Protek coating and takes the nibs off between coats, and it bends to follow mouldings and turned edges that a flat block cannot reach. It works on wood, metal, and plastic, so it covers the garden bench and the gate hinges alike.
Pick coarse to take back rough or previously coated wood, medium for general preparation, and fine for a smooth surface before a final coat.

Rinse in warm soapy water and dry before storing.
This is by far the best coating I have used for sheds. Goes on lovely and protects the wood well. I used it on a 20fy x 10ft apex roof shed and still had enough left for a second coat! Amazing stuff. I used to build sheds and install them for a living and I have tried many different products. Will definitely use again.
