For 40 years our family run manufacturing business has been supplying the timber trade with high quality water-based wood stains, decorative timber treatments and preservatives. We offer a wide range of wood stains and paints, with our Shed & Fence Stain, Wood Stain & Protect, and Protek Royal Exterior ranges a particular favourite among our stockists and drop shippers.

Protek gives stockists access to a British-made, water-based woodcare range designed for sheds, fences, garden buildings, furniture, decking and more. Our products are child, pet, bird, bee, and plant friendly when dry. With flexible stockist options, display support, product training and drop-ship capability, we make it easier to offer the right range in the right way for your business.
Everything is made in our factory in Somerset, meaning the longest wait for stock you'll ever see is a maximum of five working days. This sets us apart from the competition, many of whom manufacture overseas and have to ship.
Stockist FAQs
There is no minimum order quantity to stock Protek products – all you need to do is tell us how much space you have. We can create suggested product packs for you based on your space and our extensive knowledge of what ranges and colours sell best.
No - we have a couple of different stockist models. If you don't have space to hold our products we operate a drop ship model or ‘Flexi Stockist’. This means that you place an order for your customer and we send direct to them. You still get the sale without taking any of your space.
To help sell Protek we offer a full POS package including display backing boards, pull-up banners, colour charts and brochures. Our shelf end strips are hand painted for true representation of the colour range. These are all supplied for free.
There are two different pricing structures based on whether you are holding stock or taking advantage of our flexi stockist system/drop ship We are happy to provide more details for you. We have clear Recommended Retail Prices (RRP) for all our products, which we strongly suggest people stick to. Our prices have been carefully calculated and are a fair price. We don’t want any unnecessary competition amongst our stockists!
