When Dana's friend moved into a new house, the property came with a bonus nobody really wanted: an old tool store tucked away in the garden. It was tatty, the floor was rotting, and honestly — it looked pretty sad. Most people would have just left it alone, or called a skip company.

Dana had a better idea.

The Rescue Begins

Rather than let the little store go to waste, Dana and her friend decided to dismantle it, bring it home, and see what they could salvage. The panels needed replacing, the floor was beyond saving, and the whole thing needed a fresh start from the ground up. But the structure was sound — and that's where Protek came in.

After fitting new panels and laying a fresh floor, Dana turned her attention to the finishing touches. She started with Protek WoodPreserver++ — essential for getting a clean, even base on the new timber — then finished with two coats of Royal Exterior in Pond Green. The floor was treated separately to Royal Exterior in Walnut, giving the whole thing a gorgeous two-tone finish that ties it all together beautifully.
