My first trip to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show was a spectacular one with a dramatic thunderstorm, stunning garden designs and great champagne! After perusing the Artisan Gardens and strolling down Main Venue we came to the Gold Medal winning show garden designed by Hugo Bugg for the Royal Bank of Canada, sitting on the corner of Main Avenue and Pavilion Way. Its neighbour was the 3 Star Tradestand Award-winning exhibit by Modular105, returning to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the 7th time.
The design by Modular105 was 2 years in the making and attracted a lot of attention at the world’s most famous flower show, visited by over 150,000 people and viewed by millions via the extensive BBC coverage. Three modular buildings showcased their innovative and attractive designs with revolutionary living roof by Riefa Green Roof. An eye catching metal tree sculpture sat on top of paving created by cut silver birch stumps inter-filled with Glow-Stones and Glow-Chippings provided by Protek and Rainbow Eco Products.
Glow-Stones and Glow-Chippings are created by applying a glo-coating manufactured by Protek on to marble in an involved process that ensures a coating with a high-level of luminosity that not only glows through the night but lasts for years. Although it is currently in development, Protek and Rainbow soon hope to be able to add it to our range of decorative products.
