Contract Grade

Protek Contract Grade is a high quality hard wearing water-based, low odour, low toxic wood protection, that is used and recommended by the trade for treating sawn and prepared timbers of all types. For use where a higher specification product is required.

This first grade highly pigmented treatment leaves a micro-porous film that is very durable.

This product is available in 25 litre drums or 1000 litre intermediate bulk containers (IBC’s). Up to twice the coverage of spirit-based coatings.

Description

Benefits:

High colour concentration for high specification jobs.
Excellent penetrating and dispersing action, which gives an even coverage and makes it suitable for dipping, spraying or brush application.
Economical to use; coverage although dependent on timber porosity, density and moisture content is greater than current solvent based products.
Low VOC’s with low odour within the factory environment.
Certified under EN71 part 3—approved to use on children’s play equipment.
Good stability requiring agitation only after long periods of being unused.
Can be painted and varnished over when dry.
No reported corrosive action on metal (Iron, Steel, Copper, Brass, Aluminium etc.).

For the very best results we recommend 2-3 coats
